When I was 16 years old I hit my lowest point and from there my journey began - I became obsessed with personal development. At the age of 19 I "signed on" at my local job centre because as I just couldn't land a job. I told my 'careers advisor' that I wanted to pursue a career that would be helping people, where I could build a future and earn a good living. Unlike the 80% of people who currently work in recruitment, I actually wanted to get into recruitment.
When I first got into recruitment, I was bullied for being different. I was unfairly dismissed from one position and where they were only paying me £600 per month! It hit me hard as I was helping my disabled mum with the mortgage payments. So it's fair to say that at a young age, I had to overcome a lot of hardship and adversity, all of which I am incredibly grateful for now.
